Happy New Year, my friends!
It’s all smiles in the new year and I’ve had a fabulous time starting it off! I spent New Years Eve with wonderful friends and made some new ones, creating a very enjoyable night. We wrote out lists of what we want to accomplish in 2016, determined to finish them by the end of the year. I couldn’t ask for a better way to celebrate the beginning of a new year. Thank you to everyone who was there, you all made it very special.
The first thing I did in 2016 was clean out my closet and drawers to donate clothes I don’t need. That felt good knowing I can help out someone who needs them, rather than
having them take up space and not being worn. After cleaning and decluttering my room, along with giving away old clothes, I decided to create something new from something old with some paint and an old wooden plaque I was given from my grandma years ago. January 1st was a simple and satisfying day.
January 2nd, I hung out with my good friend Keena. We took a walk around the park, enjoyed the warm sun, the beautiful weather and the decorations placed on some trees. We shared stories, laughed a lot and appreciated the effortless yet wonderful day. We expressed our thoughts, shared stories and cleared our minds to make room for the experiences we will have in the new year.
I have to say that 2015 was a great year but I know this year will be better. Last year was a year of me taking big steps and making important decisions, along with exploring other places. It was an incredible year of me learning to “find myself.” Deciding what I want to accomplish, the mindset I want to have and the people I want to be surrounded by. I expressed myself through my posts, receiving incredible support and feedback from readers and friends. It was a year for me to find a new job, meet new friends and take the jump into university, along with staying healthy. It was also the year I had a mother-daughter trip to New York City, a place I’ve always dreamed of going to.
2015 was one year of my blog and one year of being episode free!
2015 was the time of making decisions, jumping out of my comfort zone, meeting new people and travelling, creating memories that will last forever.
This year will be another amazing year. I’m starting off with a fresh mind, positive attitude and a grateful heart. I hope to save up and travel to a place I’ve never been, I hope to have another successful semester of university and to meet people along the way. I hope to express myself even more through my blog, to inspire and encourage people as they read it. I hope to find more positive things happening around the world, to volunteer somewhere and to go out in the community more often, whether that be going to local shops or walking around parks. I hope that whatever happens in 2016 will make me grow stronger as a person, I hope to love what I become and be proud of what I accomplish. A happy heart and a positive mind is a good place to start, here’s to another fabulous year!
I wish you all a healthy and happy year, filled with amazing people and wonderful memories. Thank you so much for another fabulous year and here’s to a fresh start!
